Anne Krocak Artist

My Story

Anne Krocak is a lifelong artist whose path changed at age 17, when a severe MS attack left her temporarily paralyzed on her left side. Her dream of becoming a dancer shifted, but her purpose deepened: to use creativity as a force for healing, resilience, and connection.

Anne fell in love with art in kindergarten the moment she touched clay, and she has followed that calling ever since. Living with MS for more than 30 years, she understands what it means to move through challenge—and her work reflects that strength, joy, and accessibility.

Her public artworks appear at the CDC Museum, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. She has received awards from VSA Minnesota, COMPAS, Public Art Saint Paul, ArtSage, the Jahney Arts Access Award, and a National VSA/Kennedy Center Fellowship.

As a Lifetime Arts teaching artist, Anne leads workshops across the country in senior communities, museums, schools, shelters, libraries, and hospitals. Her work is a testament to the power of art to uplift, include, and transform.
