About Anne Krocak
Art as a Pathway to Healing, Connection & Belonging

Anne Krocak is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and public art collaborator who uses creativity as a catalyst for healing and inclusion. For more than 30 years, she has created paintings, mosaics, sculptures, and community-driven artworks that uplift stories and strengthen belonging in the places people live, work, learn, and heal.
Anne’s relationship with art began in kindergarten when she first discovered clay—an early spark that never faded. At age 17, a severe MS attack temporarily paralyzed her left side and changed the course of her life. Her dream of becoming a dancer transformed into a deeper purpose: using art to connect people to themselves and one another.
Anne’s public artworks appear in schools, senior communities, hospitals, and public spaces across the country, including installations for the CDC Museum, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Public Art Saint Paul, and Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. Her work is known for its accessibility, vibrant color, and celebration of personal and collective story.
As a longtime teaching artist and Lifetime Arts instructor, Anne leads trauma-informed, inclusive workshops for people of all ages and abilities. She has taught in museums, libraries, shelters, senior communities, and disability organizations, helping individuals explore creativity as a tool for resilience, confidence, and joy.
Whether she is designing a mosaic of belonging with a community group or guiding a therapeutic art class, Anne brings warmth, humor, and a deep belief that everyone’s story matters—and everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in art.
